Farella 2019 Estate Malbec

Winery Notes:

Malbec is typically a blending varietal in California. It is rare to find single varietal expressions, but we have been making ours since 2008. While propelled into stardom by Argentina, this grape hails from France and is planted sparingly in America. While we always thought this rare bird was beautiful, in 2016 we began to take an even more gentle approach to the Malbec winemaking. Treating the fruit more as a Pinot Noir then a rough Bordeaux grape. The softer approach allows for more delicate nuance in the wine to show through, while maintaining it’s signature flavors.
